Founded in 1993, Futura Foods started small with an ambition to bring exciting new European dairy products to the UK to meet growing interest and demand for alternative cheeses.
Focused on sourcing Organic products from Scandinavia and Southern Europe, the business grew quickly as demand from retailers and food manufacturers for innovative healthy food developed.
Our range expanded quickly and we were the first to supply mainstream consumers scale PDO Feta from Greece and Halloumi from Cyprus. We gained a reputation for innovation and we brought exciting new products such as Barrel Aged Feta, Mild Sheep Feta, Saganaki, Italian speciality cheeses and low fat Salad Cheese options to the UK.
In 2013 Danish dairy company Nordex Food – ‘White Cheese and More’ took a controlling share. Becoming part of the Nordex family has enabled us to lever manufacturing experience, knowledge and investment for future growth.
We continue to expand and today we supply tailored solutions through our channel specific multi-functional teams serving UK, Ireland and Europe. Through our parent company we also supply UK and European dairy products to markets through out world.
We are now the UK’s Mediterranean Cheese specialists, supplying high quality and innovative and authentic products from carefully selected products across Europe. In addition we manufacture added value cheese solutions at our own site in the UK, Denmark, Austria and Romania.
We are ambitious, passionate and focussed on our strategy to develop as the Mediterranean Dairy Specialists and support our customers with innovation, quality, expertise and superb customer service.

The latest phase of our development is the acquisition in October 2019 of our Added Value cheese cutting, packing and manufacturing site in Minffordd, North Wales.
The site is now fully operational with BRC AA Accreditation and has received a fantastic response from our customers in the UK and further afield.
