Foodservice & Eat Out To Help Out

With Foodservice outlets such as restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs opening up following the Covid-19 shut downs, more than 72,000 establishments took advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out government scheme, during August 2020.

In excess of 64 million meals have been sold, showing the scheme really took off amongst consumers. It saw many diners eating out between Monday and Wednesday during August, helping the hospitality industry open up again. Some consumers have even reported that they have spent more money and eaten out more often due to the discount available.

With such a positive impact within the industry, some larger pub groups are continuing the promotion off of their own backs. Encouraging customers through the doors to get a discount and continue to support the industry getting back on its feet.

Futura Foods’ sales are up 27%, year on year, throughout August. With some promotions being extended we are hopeful to see our customers continuing to thrive in such a challenging time.

We are ready to support in any way we can. Please get in touch with your account manager if you think there is something we can help you with.
