Started working as Technical Controller and was promoted to director in 2022.

What advice would you give the next generation of females?
If there is a problem, then face the fire and be honest. Don’t hide away because it is OK to make mistakes. You’ll never fly if you don’t go through the pain of growing your wings.

Alexandra Mizen-Jenkins – Senior National Account Manager – Foodservice

How long have you been at Futura?
In total 2 years (small break in between!).

Tell us about your Futura journey?
Started in January 2020 as a National Account Manager and retuned as a Senior National Account Manager.

What advice would you give the next generation of females?
Be brave, stand by your convictions. Remember, it’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.

I started as a customer advisor in retail before moving into the technical team.

What advice would you give the next generation of females?
Embrace who you are and don’t apologise for it. You deserve all the happiness life can give.

Ninna Bundgaard – Operations Controller

How long have you been at Futura?
I’ve been with Futura close to 8 years.

Tell us about your Futura journey?
My journey with Futura started at our parent company Nordex in Denmark. Since relocating to England, I have held various positions with Futura in multiple departments whilst studying ACCA.

I’m currently overseeing our extended Supply Chain and Operations Teams. Supply Chains have become much more complex due the expansion of the international economy, and the need for BI insight is increasing rapidly. I enjoy utilising my financial background to improve operations and increase efficiencies all the way from our manufacturers across Europe into the hands of consumers.

What advice would you give the next generation of females?
Don’t be afraid to seek new experiences and learn from them. Trust your own talents, be confident, motivated, and believe in your potential.

I love a continental cheeseboard with a glass of wine!

Amy McKay – Customer Service Manager

How long have you been at Futura?
5 years this month.

Tell us about your Futura journey?
I began as a Customer Service Administrator in a team of four, where my love for cheese was nurtured not only in understanding my place within the domestic and international chilled supply chain, but collaboratively working with our suppliers and educating myself in the production of their product.

This led to becoming the Senior Customer Service Administrator for Food Manufacturing where I would speak with suppliers all over Europe to achieve our customer’s needs. Servicing our customer’s production demands resulting into the everyday consumer goods my friends and family purchase makes you feel chuffed to have been part of the process.

I am now proudly the Customer Service Manager in a team of seven. I’m proud to have spent half a decade servicing our customers and supporting businesses grow and diversify through some challenging years. Every day is different and I wouldn’t wish it any other way!

What advice would you give the next generation of females?
Find something you enjoy and dive into doing it, when you enjoy what you do you can learn the rest as you go! And always be yourself!

Our YAMAS! 10% fat Greek Yoghurt, I have this pre-prepared with overnight oats, a dash of cocoa powder and a spoonful of peanut butter to enjoy immediately after my morning gym session! Stops my mid-morning snack craving!
